Gregory D. Horneber CTRS

Board Chairman

hgwh

Originally from Michigan, Greg moved to Texas in 1998 to begin his career in Therapeutic Recreation. Over the next two years Greg worked at an Outdoor Education Center during the school year, but during the summers he returned North where he worked for Wilderness Inquiry (WI). At WI Greg guided wilderness trips for people of all ages and abilities.

In November of 2000 Greg, along with his wife Mandy, moved to Atlanta, GA, where he began work at the world renowned Shepherd Center as a Recreational Therapist. Greg served as Outdoor Specialist for Shepherd working and organizing outdoor trips for persons with all abilities. Greg is currently moving into the Clinical Supervisor position of the Therapeutic Recreation Department.

Greg has dedicated his life to assisting others with disabilities and motivating them to continue participating in their leisure life. Greg is extremely excited to be a part of this new venture with CSO, and is thrilled with the opportunities it will provide others. Greg’s dream is that CSO will turn into a nationwide program opening up more opportunities for persons with special needs to “STAY in the HUNT”.
